Invitation to Bidders for Workshop to understand Technology/Market trends for providing IT solution to Rural Post offices

Notification for bidders:

Department of Posts intends to procure IT hardware for its approx. 130,000 branch offices located in rural areas. The IT hardware will address DoP requirements specific to rural areas with main computing device, 2D Imager, Mobile Thermal Printer, Biometric Fingerprint scanner, Digital Camera, GPS, Magnetic Smart Card Reader and Smart Card Chop Reader and Writer etc.. In this context, organizations/ system integrators interested in bidding for the project are invited to workshop at the Conference Room, 2nd floor, office of Chief PMG, Meghdoot Bhavan, Link road, New Delhi ‐ 110001, on 03‐12‐2013 at 1400 Hrs to discuss market trends/ capabilities w.r.t supply and maintenance of such devices in rural areas. The following may be noted in this regard:

 A maximum of 2 representatives would be allowed to attend per organization

 A list of representatives attending the workshop should be emailed to gurvinder@indiapost.gov.in latest by 02.12.2013 1200 hrs.

 A maximum of 15 mins would be given to each participant – entity to share details w.r.t organization capabilities. Representatives are free to use presentations, brochures, videos etc. in this regard.
