Earnest Appeal For Voluntary Donation

Health condition of Com. G K Pathy is highly deteriorating
Dear Comrades,
Com Gautam Kumar Pathy, Postal Assistant, Bhoinagar S O, Bhubaneswar – 751 022, an active unionist and now a Working Committee member of All India Postal Employees Union, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division ( now under orders of transfer to Postal Stores Depot, Bhubaneswar – 751 007 ) is suffering from cancer since November-2012. After chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, he has been relieved from hospital and now completely bed ridden at his home. Though further chemotherapy is required, his present health condition does not permit for additional chemo. Due to a major surgical operation in his throat, he is even unable to talk and eat properly except liquid food. Suffering from unbearable pain for the surgery, he is now taking pain killers as per the advice of the treating doctors and awaiting improvisation of his health condition so that further treatment can be started.
All kinds of admissible leave remained to his credit are going to be exhausted and he may continue without pay shortly. Though the Department has reimbursed the costs of radiation and chemotherapy while under treatment in Applo Hospital and Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar, now Com. Pathy being discharged and bed ridden at  home is spending nearly Rs.10000/- per month for medicine and liquid food. There is no other source of income of Com. Pathy except his monthly salary. If he goes without pay, the condition of his family with two children [eldest ( son) being final year B. Tech and youngest (daughter) being a +2 Science student ] and wife will certainly be miserable.
Under the circumstances, I would like to appeal sincerely to all the staff members of Postal Family in particular and our viewers and well-wishers in general to kindly donate voluntarily for extending financial support to Com. Pathy and his family members.
The donations may kindly be remitted to:
Com. Lingaraj Sahoo, Treasurer
All India Postal Employees Union, Group-C
Bhubaneswar Division,
Bhubaneswar GPO – 751001

·      Donations in the form of Cheque / Draft may be drawn directly in favour of Sri Gautam Kumar Pathy and sent to the above address.
Your timely help irrespective of amount will not only help a family to come out from financial distress but will build the future of two innocent children.
So, all are fervently requested to kindly consider and contribute.
The name of the donors will be displayed along with amount donated in this website phase-wise.
Awaiting your kind response.
With regards.
Comradely yours,
B. Samal
Secretary
