Sub- Total computer work of Bhubaneswar GPO paralyzed from yesterday i.e. dated 28-05-2012 due to failure of UPS.

Respected Sir,
It is our constraint to intimate that total computer work in Bhubaneswar GPO has been stopped due to failure of 2 number UPS and the staffs are facing the anguish of public. It is matter of great regret that though Bhubaneswar GPO is a model office located in the heart of Bhubaneswar town, such type of dislocation in computer work is totally unexpected. It has been reported that the two number of UPS in GPO have been damaged causing this type problem.

Therefore, it is requested for kind intervention in the matter to cause permanent solution to the afore-said problems to get rid of hardship faced by member public & staffs as well.

Requesting for immediate response.
With Regards.

Yours faithfully

  1. Sir,
glad to know that Union has taken up a broad issue. Honourable Circle Secy could not have found a better way to hug the lime light. This petty issue can not hamper the process of computerisation. For emmergency purpose by-pass can be utilised and more over it is only one/two months since annual budget allocation has been made. Appropriate stand-by could have been arranged for the model GPO which is centrally located. What about Gen Sets? Definitely it lacks perception and fore-sight on their part who envisage BNC GPO as a model PO.
Nevethless a better issue to be taken up but lacks adequate conviction to be brought to the notice of CPMG.
