CIRCULAR
Pursuant to Directorate letter No.4-S/2009/PA Com./700-709 dated 30/10/2009, Pension Accounting Information System(PAIS) has been implemented in Orissa Postal Circle. In this context all concerned were requested vide Circular No.Pension/PAIS/10-11/R-10422 to 10486 dated 11/11/2010 to follow certain guidelines for effective implementation of the software. It is seen that some units are not following all the guidelines. It is once again impressed upon to follow the guidelines especially the following.
1) It is seen that provisional pension is being sanctioned to the pensioner even if the pension case is clear and is free from any departmental/judicial cases. It is once again urged to avoid sanction of provisional pension to all superannuating government servants. Please ensure submission of compliance to Accounts Enfacement Objections within 15 days of the date of retirement so that PPO can be issued by 25th of the following month.
2) Date of birth & marital status of all members of the family are not furnished in form-3.
3) Joint photographs furnished in certain cases are not clear and there are smudges/handwritings on the face. Smudge free and clear photographs may be furnished.
4) All nominations viz. Family pension, DCRG, CGEGIS, Commuted value of pension etc. are found wanting in the service books resulting delay in settlement of death cases. All DDOs may be instructed suitably to obtain the same from the govt. servants and keep them on record as per rules.
